Projects: Utility Master Plan for Abu Dhabi New International Airport. The Abu Dhabi International Airport (ADIA) is located approximately 30 kilometres from the city centre of Abu Dhabi. ADIA is situated on approximately 2,800 acres and served over 9 million passengers in 2008. Current facilities consist of a passenger terminal complex, aircraft maintenance, general aviation, air cargo, public parking, and leisure and administrative facilities. Abu Dhabi International Airport is a primary international airport in the region. Infrastructure work which included the overall utility requirements for all facilities required in Planning Activity Level (PAL) 1A (Year 2015), PAL 2 (2025), PAL 3 (2035) and PAL 4/5 (2045). PAL 4/5 is expected to be the ultimate build-out for Abu Dhabi International Airport (ADIA) under current development scenarios. Responsible for the Coordination in between the Client and the Consultants (Parsons & Stanley), Budgeting, Civil, HVAC, Firefighting and Electromechanical Design work with regards of preparation of the Utility Master Plan for Abu Dhabi New International Airport

Construction of Volta Mome Hagou 330kV Transmission Line 160km
Construction of approximately 140 km single circuit 330 kV transmission line from the 330 kV Volta Substation in Tema (Ghana) to Tornu on the Ghana-Togo Border to increase the power transfer between Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria in the West African sub-region and is funded by the African Development Bank.

Expansion of 330kV Volta and 161kV Asiekpe Substation
Expansion of the 330 kV Volta Substation and 161 kV Asiekpe Substation for the termination of the Volta-Tornu Line and accommodate the Reactor and the Phase Shifting Transformer (PST) as well as relevant switchgear, protection and control facilities and associated civil works respectively.
During the implementation of the project, the PST which was originally to be located at the 161 kV Akosombo Switchyard was relocated to the 161 kV Asiekpe Substation due to space and technical constraints.

Supply and Installation of Plant and Equipment 161kV for the Third Bulk Supply Point for Accra/Tema
Design, manufacture, testing and delivery as well as the installation of balance of plant substation equipment including circuit breakers, disconnect switches as well as protection, control and metering facilities and associated civil works including the construction of control building, etc. at the Accra East and Achimota Substations and installation of Power and Auxiliary Transformers as well as the associated Transmission line works.

Rehabilitation of Cranes and rust Treatment of Cranes and Penstocks at the Akosombo Generating Station
The Penstocks and Cranes at the Akosombo Generating Plant were over-aged and at the end of their useful asset life.
Essential spares for the existing 85 Ton Intake Crane and 450 Ton Main Power House Crane were also not readily available.
The rehabilitation of the cranes and rust treatment of the cranes and penstocks was to maintain and /or increase the reliability of the facilities.

Upgrade of VRA Training School
The VRA Training School was to be upgraded and equipped to provide training in maintenance and operating skills to support the WAPP Organization.
The scope for the upgrade was envisaged to involve the provision of:
Modular Power Plant Simulator (Generation, Transformation, Distribution etc.)

Training Staff Technical Capability Upgrade
Development of Training modules (Hydro and Thermal Generation, Dispatcher Training etc.)

The Nam Theun 2 multipurpose development project (NT2) is larger and more complex than any other hydropower project in Lao PDR. It is jointly implemented by the Nam Theun 2 Power Company (NTPC) and the government of Lao PDR and financed by 27 parties, including the World Bank Group (WBG) and the Asian Development Bank. NT2 is expected to generate US $2 billion in revenues over a twenty-year period.
NT2 revenues are flowing back to the people of Lao PDR it is improving living conditions, health care, education, and providing access in poor and remote areas. It also covers the protection of large areas with rich biodiversity.
Project comprise the following main technical components: 4 Francis generating units 281,2 MVA, 2 Pelton generating units 51, 2 MVA, Switch yard 500/115 kV with associated equipment, OHL 500/115 kV and Standby power generation.
